Coming Soon to Connecticut!
Despite the saddle being the #1 cause of chronic soreness in horses, it is rarely considered when trying to fix their issues. A saddle that fits both horse and rider is critical in every riding discipline.
Is your horse hard to catch? Acts "girthy" when tacking? Won't stand for mounting? Won't bend? Exhibits "naughty" behavior when asked to do certain movements? These and many more behavioral problems can be symptoms of PAIN due to an unfit saddle. All the bodywork and training in the world will not solve these issues if the unfit saddle continues to be used!
BZ Equine is the solution.
BZ Equine is Connecticut's ONLY Certified Equine Ergonomist (CEE). This specialty studies the anatomy and physiology of ridden horses to find proper equipment that allows them to move in comfort and support a rider without pain. A CEE is a saddle fit expert who is specially trained to assess each individual horse and rider and compile a comprehensive picture of their ergonomic needs. A CEE educates horse owners/riders on the science behind how a saddle must fit their horse's specific anatomy.
BZ Equine will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your horse inclusive of an 80+ point saddle fit assessment. From pasture to arena, all factors are considered. The rider's needs are always included in all consultations.

BZ Equine's mission is to relieve the pain horses endure due to unfit saddles and equipment. We do so by studying rigorously the most relevant science to provide comprehensive 80+ point saddle fitting consultations. We also focus on teaching humans to recognize expressions of pain in horses, identify the derivative of the pain, and how it relates to the saddle.
We wholeheartedly and unequivocally promote ethical treatment of horses in sport and leisure and teach humans how to understand their horses' holistic needs like never before.
